The Student Achievement Program is a non-competitive event, which takes place in March and May every year, to provide musical growth through evaluation and encouragement.

Repertoire Exam: Sunday, May 19, 2024

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: January 15, 2024 (Full program or Repertoire and Technique or Repertoire and Theory); March 15, 2024 (Repertoire ONLY)

TO REGISTER: Teachers can register online or complete the registration form for this program.
Teachers should supply all requested information and collect fees from the students. One payment for all combined student fees should be paid by the teacher. Please make check payable to “NYSMTA-District 12”.

REGISTRATION FEE: $30 

 

AWARDS: Students receive written comments from judges and a certificate will be given. Students receiving total score of 194 for two years or 280 for three years will be awarded a composer statuette

REPERTOIRE: Students must perform two to three memorized complete pieces of contrasting styles. Pieces may be by the same composer as long as they are of contrasting styles. Pieces must be a minimum of 16 measures in length. All pieces should be played in their entirety.
